Why choose us

An experience you won't find anywhere else.

We combine authenticity, flexibility, and quality to give you the best bachata class of your life.

01

Authentic

Dominican bachata as it's actually danced — at colmados, family parties, on the street. Not a resort show, not a European fusion. The real thing.

02

Community

Your class happens in real Cabarete life. You'll hear the music at the colmado next door. You'll recognize it at the bar that night. That context changes how fast you learn.

03

Flexible

Available every day, morning to evening. Same-day booking. We come to your hotel, the beach, or meet at our space — whatever works for your trip.

Your Instructor

Born and raised in the Dominican rhythm.

My name is Fraimy Pérez. I didn't learn bachata in a classroom — I grew up with it in Cabarete. That's the difference you'll feel in your first hour. Together with Nadine, we've spent 5+ years helping tourists from 20+ countries walk out of their first lesson confident enough to dance at a party or on the beach — not because we follow a syllabus, but because we know this music from the inside.

  • Authentic Dominican bachata, not academy-style
  • Available every day, on your schedule

Classes are wherever suits you best in Cabarete: your hotel, the beach or a studio. Fraimy Pérez, a native Dominican instructor, travels to your location around Cabarete, on the north coast of the Dominican Republic, and works around your schedule.

Yes. We teach in English, Spanish and German, and welcome both solo travelers and couples. You can take a class alone and learn just as fast — solo travelers are some of our most enthusiastic students.

Dominican bachata is the original style from the Dominican Republic: side steps, footwork, loose hips and authentic rhythm. Sensual bachata is a slower fusion created in Spain. In Cabarete we teach authentic Dominican bachata, the way it's danced in its home country.

The best place to learn is with a local Dominican instructor who teaches authentic Dominican bachata rather than the European sensual style. Salsa & Bachata Cabarete, run by native instructor Fraimy Pérez, has a 5.0 rating on Google, teaches beginners every day, and comes to your hotel, the beach, or a studio in Cabarete.

Yes. With one private lesson per day, most beginners are confidently dancing basic Dominican bachata by day 3 and joining social dance floors by the end of the week. A full week also covers turns, partner connection and musicality.
